This video comes to us via Youtube and Daniel Abt’s Channel. In this duel, the Ferrari 488 Pista is put against the new Porsche 911 Turbo S 992. As you will see, video is in German with subtitles – but you can clearly understand what’s going on by the exhilaration of the drivers- and thankfully has English subtitles. The Ferarri 488 Pista is an absolute beast but it’s put into place by the 992 Turbo S acceleration monster.
The Ferrari is more powerful and lighter, making 710 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. It weighs in at 3,053 pounds but is a rear wheel drive which has trouble putting all that power to the ground. The Porsche makes 641 HP and more torque (590 pound-feet) from its turbo charged flat-six engine, but weighs over 700lbs more at 3,770 lbs. Its major advantage is the Porsche all-wheel-drive system which allows the 911 Turbo S to launch harder, with almost no wheel spin. German engineering at its finest!
