Porsche And Its Employees Support The Victims Of Earthquake
Stuttgart- Mar. 23, 2011– To alleviate the great suffering of the Japanese population after the devastating natural disasters, Dr. Ing hc F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart gives 500,000 euros for emergency measures. Porsche Japan, the sales company of the sports car manufacturer in Tokyo, made available directly to local charities, this amount in order to fund other urgent tasks used in the hard hit areas of the country.
Thomas Ediger, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Social Studies of Porsche AG, said: “People in Japan need as quickly as possible support. We see our company in social responsibility and would therefore contribute to the acute suffering of those affected to ease a little. ”
Uwe Hueck, chairman of the Porsche Group Works Council underlines the great compassion and generosity: “Japan was hit by three simultaneous disasters: earthquakes, tsunami and massive nuclear accidents. People have lost everything. The suffering of the Japanese population is unimaginable. The colleagues of Porsche you want to help the people of Japan, so will the staff do their part. In order to alleviate the suffering of people in Japan, our solidarity is needed. ”
