J.D. Power Confirms Zuffenhausen As Top Performer
The prestigious US market research institute J.D. Power and Associates has found Dr. Ing. h.c. Porsche AG, Stuttgart’s 911 model line to be the most reliable vehicle. That was the conclusion of the current VDS (Vehicle Dependability Study 2011) which analysed vehicles registered between September 2007 and February 2008. More than 43,700 American car owners were involved in the poll. They voted Porsche the best German car manufacturer.
At the same time there was high praise for production quality: In their study VDS 2011, the market researchers – referring to the long-term quality of the vehicles produced there – found the main Porsche plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen to be the best car factory in the world. “These results confirm our rigorous focus on the very highest quality throughout the entire process chain. At Porsche we are never satisfied with our achievements. Traditionally we have always striven to become even better. Because we take a very sporty view of quality as well,” said Dr. Stefan Knirsch, Director Corporate Quality.
