Being #1 has its perks…and Champion Porsche, the world’s largest Porsche dealership year after year, has earned an unbelievable perk… The 911 GT2RS that Jeff Zwart recently piloted to a 2nd place finish in the time attack 2WD class in the 2011 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
In collaboration with Porsche Motorsport North America, this 911 GT2RS was basically driven right from Porsche to the hill climb, then up the mountain. Zwart drove the car on an 1138-mile trip from L.A. to the Mountain. Zwart, a seven-time Pikes Peak Champion, bested his 2010 record setting run by 10 seconds in this street-legal Porsche 911 GT2 RS. He also set the record for the fastest street-legal car to ever race at the Peak.
Now, one lucky person will have a chance to own this piece of history, just the way it ran the hill climb. It’s currently sitting in the showroom at Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach, FL and is available for sale.
From Pikes Peak to your garage or a track near you…definitely a nice perk I’d say.
