Atlanta – May 3, 2010 -Jack Daniels Motors, formerly of Paramus New Jersey, has moved its Porsche operations to a new facility in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, that is now the largest Porsche dealership in North America and among the largest in the world. The new facility represents yet another major investment by Porsche’s loyal dealer network in the U.S. that now exceeds half-a-billion dollars over the last decade.
Even during the economic downturn of the last several years, Porsche dealers-as part of the Porsche Corporate Architecture initiative-have invested nearly 50 million dollars of their own money in exclusive showrooms and facilities.
Aside from its sheer girth, Jack Daniels’ new location is also, arguably, one of the most modern and impressive Porsche retail outlets anywhere in North America. “This all-new dealership is incredible in every respect and shows the unwavering dedication Jack and Michael Daniels have for our brand,” said Detlev von Platen, President & CEO, Porsche Cars North America. “The magnitude of the investment puts the Porsche brand on the map in a very dramatic and passionate way in one of our most important markets.”
Jack Daniels Motors, founded in 1972, moved into the new facility located at 335 Route 17 Upper Saddle River on April 1. Previously, the dealership was located in Paramus, New Jersey on Route 4. “Our goal was to create a unique and visually stunning Porsche environment for our customers,” said dealer principal Jack Daniels, who runs the business with his brother, Michael. “Every detail of this
new facility meets Porsche’s exacting corporate requirements.”
Previous to the move to the new facility, Jack Daniels acquired Porsche of Nanuet, New York. And with the consolidation , Jack Daniels will be one of the top-selling Porsche dealerships in the Tri-State
region and now employs 25 people. One of the most striking hallmarks of the new 25,000-square-foot facility is the massive showroom that displays over 30 Porsche cars.
“Our intention was to build a stunning first impression for our customers,” said Daniels. “As you enter the building you are immediately struck by the grand entrance that oversees the expansive
showroom floor display. “Because of its size and number of cars, the experience is almost like walking into an auto show environment,” said Daniels.
Outside, Jack Daniels Motors’ lot is also among the largest in the U.S. with a capacity to showcase nearly 80 Porsches. “Now that we are fully operational, our sales ambition is to ultimately be among the top-ten Porsche dealerships in the country,” he said.
From a service standpoint, the new facility includes a unique new concept that brings the service customer into the main show floor. Once at the service desk, customers are then able to confer with
the service writer in the comfort and privacy of a separate office. In addition, the service capacity of the new facility will provide up to 18 service bays.
Jack Daniels Motors has a long history of selling Porsches that dates back 38 years and has led the nation in many sales, service and parts categories as a Premier Porsche Dealer.
