Porsche Auctions Liqueurelle For Good Cause
The innovative Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid didn’t just wow the fans at the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race – German rock musician and painter Udo Lindenberg was so fascinated by the hybrid Porsche that he captured the orange and white fuel consumption miracle as a liqueurelle on canvas. The picture, painted with different sorts of liquor and entitled “Porsche Panic Power” will be put up for auction on Ebay at 8 p.m. on August 4 over a ten day period with proceeds going to the Udo Lindenberg Foundation, which is involved with social projects to help children in Africa.
Udo Lindenberg, who unveiled the 65 by 85 centimetre liqueurelle (~ 25.6 x 33.5 inches) at the Porsche press conference at the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race, is a keen Porsche driver. “I blew my first big pay cheque to buy my first Porsche 911 in Hamburg back in 1973. For me Porsche personifies passion in its most beautiful form and I am glad that Porsche is also right up there on environmental matters with its hybrid cars”, the artist said.
