Images of the 2012 Porsche 911 (991 Series) have been leaked and posted online before any official announcement from Porsche.
Here we have what looks to be official photos of the interior and exterior of the next 911. Looking just like the cars captured in spy shots, the 2012 Porsche 911 carries forward the car’s iconic styling with a new interpretation for the series. (photos from TopSpeed.com)
Shown clearly in the photos is the newly designed rear, and subtle changes to the front facia.
It is reported that Porsche will be downsizing the engine in the new 991 Series from the 3.6L flat-six to a 3.4L direct-injected flat-six engine that delivers a total of 350 HP at 6400 rpm and max torque of 280 lb-ft between 4400 and 6000 rpm. The Carrera S, on the other hand, will get a 3.8-liter flat-six with direct injection engine that delivers a total of 400 HP at 7000 rpm, leaving it with a 4.5 seconds 0-60mph sprint time and a top speed of 188mph.
