This menacing 911 GT2 RS beast has 800 hp!
The Sportec SP 800 R is based on the Porsche GT2 RS. Seemingly so inconspicuous one wouldn’t guess what the vehicle has hidden in the depths of Its tail end. True to the Sportec motto of “more substance than hype!” the vehicle appears astonishingly discrete. At the front as opposed to the factory car there is only a front spoiler lip as an addition and the rear might be pleased over its rear spoiler extension. In keeping with Sportec’s premise of function and quality there are – naturally – made completely of noble carbon. The exterior of the Sportec SP 800R displays no other modifications. The ‘hidden’ part is in this instance also the more impressive part of this super sportscar.
The side view also appears a touch more sporty as after its Sportec treatment the vehicle rolls along on 20 inch Mono/7 wheel rims with a diaphragm shutter and cup tires 245/30 and 315/25. The new Mono/7 wheel rim with diaphragm shutter is available in size 9×20 ET40 or according to model ET52 and 12×20 ET50. The car features Sportec Super sports suspension including lowering by 25 millimetres. This ensures that the vehicle has sufficient grip in all situations.
800 very potent horse power bustles under the boot lid that with a power of over 900 Nm let the car spring forward like the shock wave from a real booby trap. In terms of pure figures this means a performance per liter of 222.22 PS a performance weight of just 1.71 kilo per PS and an acceleration of just over 3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h – which only at a speed of 373 km/h pushes the elements to their limits. The modifications needed for such fabulous values are hidden deep in the engine – where they only wait for the suitable spark to bring them to life.
The six cylinder boxer could be glad of several upgrades needed to complete its mission in the SP 800 R. Amongst these are amongst other things a Sportec K24.800 hybrid turbo charger, a 4 pipe titanium exhaust system including fitting high performance catalysers, sports cam shafts, Sportec connecting rods with a special alloy, large intercoolers, newly programmed engine electronics with its own open loop charge pressure control and last but not least a sports clutch in order to turn the power of the engine into propulsion.
